About Us
Shalom is a Hebrew word that means “peace,” not a superficial peace but the transcendent peace of the Kingdom. Our school mission is for our students to experience “Shalom” in our school by following laws of nature and applying the IMS technology and protocols in a prepare environment.
Our core values are to respect the individual freedom of each child; by doing this the child develops into a joyful, intelligent and confident spiritual being.

Our Story
Shalom Prince of Peace was founded and is directed by Sally Korte on the year of 2021 with the goal to provide “True Nature Montessori” education in the area. The school operate under the direction of Sally Korte, BA in Early Childhood Education, IMS Montessori Certified, CGS level I, II, III certified and collaborator of the Montessori News and the Observer publications. We offer Primary Montessori (2 1/2 to 6) and Lower Elementary Montessori (6 to 9) and use the Catechist of the Good Shepherd. We are committed to follow the perfect guidelines of Laws of nature by following the Montessori principles of observation, freedom and preparation of the environment.
Our Montessori school is unique in a way that integrated to our classroom is an “Atrium”. An Atrium is a space in our environment were the children experience the Catechist of the Good Shepherd. He is free to respond to the “Prince of Peace” invitation.
Montessori teaching originated with Dr. Maria Montessori’s discovery of the child’s true nature in Rome, Italy in 1907. Observing young children in their free activity with self-teaching materials, she discovered that they spontaneously gave up their ordinary tendencies towards disorder and inattention, acquiring instead such outward qualities as spontaneous self-discipline, love of order and complete harmony with their surroundings. Further research confirmed these qualities as normal in all children. Dr. Montessori therefore set about to scientifically study how to bring about this true natural being in a reliable and consistent manner. In time, this practical scientific research was referred to as Montessori teaching, which is the approach employed at Shalom Prince of Peace.
